What is so special about Kettelhack? You can probably guess that we are talking about a tradition that spans more than 140 years. But it is not our past that really sets us apart. It is the willingness to constantly question and advance what we do. We are proud of what we have achieved. In the second half of the 19th century, house-weavers in Münsterland lost their jobs thanks to the mechanical loom. As a yarn merchant, Heinrich Karl-Georg Kettelhack was suddenly forced to rethink. Rather than grumbling about the new state of affairs, he founded his own company on 3 September 1874 and started a tradition to which we are still committed today: having the courage to shape our own future. As an independent family business in its fourth generation, we are exceedingly familiar with long-term planning and responsible action.
